Conversation list

Conversation history lets a returning visitor pick up where they left off. In a help center, the agent opens wide with its conversation list, so a customer reopens an earlier conversation about the same order instead of starting again.

The live demo loads here.

What it shows

  • Conversation history: the drop-in <mindset-agent> element with the conversation-list attribute, a Conversations button that lists this visitor's earlier conversations with this agent, newest first
  • A "Your conversations" card that lights only on the element's mindset:conversation event: once when this conversation is saved, and again when the visitor reopens an earlier one (replacedBecause: "switched")
  • Two functions, orbit-order-status and orbit-refund-status, answering from sample orders written into the function as literal data
  • The show_order page tool bringing the order under discussion into view, with the orders and the order in view sent as situational awareness
  • A server-assigned visitor cookie that lasts 180 days, so the list belongs to one returning visitor and to no one else
